Prof. Dr. Snežana Pajović is a distinguished scientist and professor with extensive scientific and international experience in the fields of molecular biology, genetics, physiology, neuroscience, and bioethics. She is a member of numerous national and international scientific and professional associations, and her research portfolio includes more than 140 bibliographic entries and over 80 scientific publications, including monographs and book chapters.
Throughout her career, she has contributed to the development of novel methodological approaches and has participated in the implementation of both international and national patents, thereby making a significant contribution to the advancement of the innovation and scientific ecosystem. She is a recipient of the Golden Medal bearing the image of Nikola Tesla for her contribution to innovation and science.
Her scientific and research work has left a strong impact on the development of molecular biomedicine, molecular biology, as well as on the advancement of diagnostic, therapeutic, and clinical approaches in medical practice.
Since May 26th, 2026, in her role as Acting Director of the BioSense Institute, she brings extensive international experience, strong scientific expertise, and a clear vision for the Institute’s future development. Her focus will be on strengthening interdisciplinary research, enhancing innovation capacities, and further positioning the BioSense Institute as a leading research institution in Serbia and the region, while further advancing science, innovation, and education policies at both national and international levels.
With this appointment, the BioSense Institute opens a new chapter of development, innovation, and the strengthening of links between science, industry, and society.
